The state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa commends execution of projects

The state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has been commended for the execution of infrastructural projects across the state despite the paucity of funds occasioned by the current economic recession.

The Minority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon Festus Okoh who represents Ika South constituency in the house gave the commendation while speaking with Assembly Correspondents in his office in Asaba.

The minority leader, Hon Festus Okoh said Governor Okowa had done well in the development of road infrastructural in different parts of the state.

Hon Okoh stressed that Ika south where he represents, several roads were either ongoing or completed.

The lawmaker noted that road infrastructure was key to the development of any area stating that some streets in Ika south including Igumbor, Odion, Odi, Ogbewi, Charles and Ewere streets were ongoing and of economic importance to the area.

  The Minority Leader said he had also attracted several development projects including roads and schools infrastructures to his constituency as well embarked on different empowerment programmes for youths, widows among others.

On the sixth Assembly, Hon Okoh noted that the House had fared well despite obvious challenges, stressing that as minority leader he was not to antagonise the government.

He said the House had given equal opportunities to all members irrespective of party affiliation adding that all members were carried along in the scheme of things.

Hon Okoh said menace of herdsmen was a heinous crime in the state and that the House is currently working on a bill to checkmate the activities of herdsmen in the state.
                          
The minority assured his people of Ika South of continued quality representation and urged them not to waiver in their support for good governance.
