Okowa has recorded landmark achievements...Hon. Oborevwori

The member representing Okpe Constituency in the State House of Assembly Hon Sheriff Oborevwori says the state government has recorded landmark achievements in terms of development despite the prevailing economic recession in the country.

Hon Oborevwori who stated this while speaking with Assembly correspondents after Wednesday's plenary in Asaba, commended governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the development strides.

The Lawmaker, Hon Sheriff Oboriowori said governor Okowa has embarked on development projects across the state, saying that Okpe Constituency where he represents has also benefited.

Hon Oboriowori disclosed that the Orerokpe Ultra Modern Market embarked upon by the state government has been completed and awaiting commissioning.

The lawmaker noted that the market with one hundred and ninety six open shops and twenty eight lock up shops, also has standby Generator, Water Tower with treatment plant among other facilities.

Hon Oborevwori who is the Chairman, House Committee on Delta State Capital City Development Agency, said the market would boost economic activities as the people could have a central point to trade.

The lawmaker noted that work had since commenced on the Oha-Orerokpe road, maintaining that the road which had been in existence since the Midwest era had been in a bad state.

Hon Oborevwori disclosed that the contractor had mobilized to site, expressing optimism of its early completion.

He said the Oha-Orerokpe road is key to the economic and social lives of the people, saying that the road when completed would reduce traffic along the busy Warri- Eku road.

Hon Oboriowori stated that despite the recession in the country,  Governor Okowa was still embarking on meaningful projects that would add value to the lives of the people.

Hon Oborevwori urged deltans and indeed the people of Okpe to continue to support the Okowa administration in order to enhance more practical development.
