Speaking at a town hall meeting with constituents at Aboh, headquarters
of Ndokwa East local government council, Hon Osanebi who represents the
local government area in the house, assured the people of more dividends
of democracy from the state government.
The deputy speaker told the people that the state government is
committed to enhance the quality of life of deltans despite the economic
recession, saying that in Ndokwa East a good number of human capital
and infrastructural development have taken place in the recent times.
Hon Osanebi said from June 2015 to August 2016 over twenty million Naira
was spent on women empowerment alone and another ten million Naira for
same exercise to others that have not gotten were being disbursed to the
beneficiaries.
The lawmaker disclosed that the "Friday Osanebi Foundation Scholarship
Scheme" he established, have given scholarship even beyond Ndokwa
nation, noting that the gesture had helped in promoting peace and
security in the state.
The deputy speaker said the micro credit scheme and other state
government programs that have impacted positively on the lives of the
people, also received all the needed support and encouragement at
ensuring that the people of Ndokwa East benefited maximally on the
programs.
Hon Osanebi who listed some executed and ongoing project by the state
government across communities in the constituency, also revealed his
recent efforts that gave over fifty youths in the area meaningful
employments in oil companies operating in the locality.
He told the people that the issues of good internal roads and erosion
control in Ndokwa East were being addressed in Ndokwa land.
The deputy speaker said Ndokwa East remains a strong hold of PDP, urging
the public to discountenance any rumors that leaders of the party in
the area are divided, even as he reassured the commitment of all to the
success of the the Okowa's administration.
Hon Osanebi said the town hall meeting was to keep the people abreast
with the policy direction of the state government, urging the people to
remain appreciative to governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his prudence in the
management of the state resources.
The state Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Hon Chika Ossai said
the state government has done so much for the Ndokwa East local
government in terms of appointments and projects and urged the people to
remain optimistic for more development to the area.
The commissioner warned against peddling of rumors capable of derailing
the peace and security enjoyed by the people, including the unity among
members of the the Pdp family.
Those who spoke commended Hon Osanebi for the positive impacts on the
lives of the people and reminded him of some electioneering promises
made that were yet to be fulfilled.
Over fifty persons received various empowerment from the deputy speaker during the town hall meeting.
